The weather outside may be frightful, but we've gotta say, Kelly Ripa's festive social media game is delightful.
On Tuesday, the Live with Kelly & Ryan host shared a hilarious two-part post on Instagram. Her first photo features husband Mark Consuelos posing with his onscreen brood — costars Camila Mendes and Marisol Nichols, who play his daughter and wife on The CW's Riverdale, respectively.
In her caption, Kelly joked, "Tired of fighting with the kids over the holiday card photo? Problem solved! Thanks @camimendes @marisolnichols @instasuelos (swipe to see actual family and don’t forget to read the fine print!)"
The card reads: "Happy Holidays from our family to yours (No actual wives or children were used in this photo)." LOL! Nice one, Kelly.
Swipe to see the second photo, which features a sweet shot of Kelly and Mark with their daughter Lola, 17, and sons Michael, 21, and Joaquin, 15. This one's description reads: "Love, The Consuelos' (ACTUAL FAMILY)." Crucial distinction right there.
Well, it's a good thing we're obsessed with both families! And we're pretty sure Mark enjoyed the festive prank as much as Kelly's hoards of Instagram followers did. He reposted the holiday greeting with the message: "My poor wife has resorted to using my TV family as our holiday card. Personally..I think it’s her best work.."
Frankly, though, this family's theatrics are nothing new. Fans of Riverdale are well aware that Kelly and Mark's son Michael appeared in Season 3, playing a younger version of Mark's infamous Hiram Lodge, now also known as the sinister Man in Black. We were also beyond excited to discover that Kelly is scheduled to make a guest appearance as none other than Hiram's mistress. Um, perfect irony, much?
I mean, the possibilities with Mark's next-level attractive family — both on the small screen and IRL — are endless, people. And with Riverdale's midseason finale happening TONIGHT, we'll be anticipating the show's return after the holidays more than ever.
