This should definitely be on everyone’s “Things To Do in San Francisco” list. The California Academy of Sciences is a modern gem, tucked away in the middle of Golden Gate Park. This contemporary structure houses an aquarium, planetarium and a few other attractions sure to please all members in your party. If the living roof above the Academy doesn’t impress you, the encased, four-story rainforest will give you butterflies in your stomach as they flutter around you. I try and visit at least twice a year because there is always something new to see. (Courtesy of California Academy of Sciences)
What to wear: The rainforest is warm and humid, while the planetarium and aquarium can run on the chilly side. Layers are key! Try a cargo jacket paired with a chambray button-up and fun sneakers.
Pro tip: Every Thursday the California Academy of Sciences keeps the doors open a little later for the 21-and-over crowd. Grab a cocktail and enjoy unique exhibits that are only available afterhours. Every week they offer a different cocktail at each bar – awesome for date night!
