One of my favorite places to people watch is the Ferry Building – it reminds me how lucky I am to live in this city. It’s full of San Francisco residents, tourists and everyone in between. It’s a great venue to kill time on rainy weekends when you’re looking for coverage.
On sunny days, it’s fun to take a stroll outside on the Embarcadero. From there you can snap a photo of the Bay Bridge or Coit Tower. If you’re feeling ambitious walk down to Pier 39 to catch a boat ride to Alcatraz or hangout with the sea lions.
What to wear: Throw on your best stripes and gold accents for a classic, nautical feel. Wear a pair of wedges for brunch with your BFF or strappy sandals for a day of sightseeing. You can’t go wrong with a fresh navy and white ensemble, as this area is most popular during the day.
Pro tip: Most of the action takes place on the ground level with various food and home vendors handing out samples and chatting it up with the guests. Head up to the second story for a picturesque view of the crowd below. Marvel over the timeless design of the Ferry Building’s architecture.
