To Dine: Piccino

To Dine: Piccino(Courtesy of Tyler Ball)The ambiance inside Piccino is both intimate and abuzz. Come dine with a group of your closest friends and enjoy good food with great company. The fresh, locally sourced ingredients make up a simple, seasonal menu – tailored to the taste buds of San Francisco’s foodie community. It’s not difficult to see why this honest-to-goodness venue is one of my favorite pizza joints in the city.

What to wear: Not only is Piccino great for groups, it’s ideal for date night. A flowy maxi dress accessorized with a long pendant necklace is romantic and appropriate for a stroll around the Dogpatch neighborhood after dinner.

Order the crisp little gem salad and split the margherita and funghi pizzas with your party or keep one to yourself – we’re not judging.

Pro tip: Do you get the midday munchies? After lunch and before dinner, Piccino offers a tasty snack menu consisting of small plates, soup and sandwiches. You can also head next door to their very own coffee shop for a pastry and caffeine kick served up by their friendly baristas.
