One thing we noticed about StyleBistro guest editor Stacy Keibler
is she's always impeccably dressed on the red carpet—without an inch of neon spandex wrestling gear to be found.
When we chatted with her, we had to know—how does one take their style from wrestling to red carpet? Well, Stacy says her style has been a work in progress. Her WWE years were not kind when it came to fashion. She said: Omigod, my style has changed so much! From being a Baltimore small town girl, [then] when I was in WWE we had no stylist. We had no budget—they didn't even pay for our clothing or anything. I would buy a lot of my stuff at Rave and those kind of stores.
When Stacy made the switch from ringside to red carpet, she made a conscious effort to ensure her style made sense in her new environment. Stacy also gets major kudos for not just hiring a stylist—she works with Julie Weiss—but also learning about fashion on her own. She said: I think it's like anything else, it's an evolution. Moving to LA and being around people who are very stylish opened my eyes to a lot of things. I really took time to learn what kind of styles are right for my body and body type. I got a stylist and I was pretty proactive in learning. I really wanted to learn about fashion. I started buying different magazines, just teaching myself as I went.
