Celebrity Outfit Idea to Steal: Reese Witherspoon's Laid-Back Layers

(Bauer Griffin)

For someone who gave birth to her third child not even a month ago, Reese Witherspoon looks amazing. While we'll miss her adorable gingham and eyelet maternity dresses (seriously, she's in the running for cutest pregnant person ever), we do love her classic crewneck, rolled-up khaki, printed button-up, fedora, and suede bootie combo.

Regardless of whether you just had a baby or not, these neutral layers are essential items for anyone's fall wardrobe. Plus, we promise they'll never go out of style. Here's how you can get Witherspoon's classic fall look for yourself!

Printed blue button-up and crewneck sweater:

We love how Witherspoon added the subtlest touch of color and print to her outfit with a lightly dotted blue button-up and navy-blue crewneck. To get a similar look, try A.P.C.'s Heart polo shirt ($178.10)—it has a hint of light blue and a small print too. Plus, the mini-hearts make it extra charming! Throw Topshop's knitted zip step hem jumper ($84) over the shirt for a Witherspoon-approved combo.

Rolled-up khaki's and suede booties:

To get the casual-cool feel of Witherspoon's look, you'll need a loose-fitting khaki pant with a rolled hemline. Try JCPenney's Boyfriend chino cropped pants ($25) for a similar style. As for the shoes, you'll need a suede ankle bootie with a buckle detail. We like DV by Dolce Vita's "Java" boot ($128.95) because they're a similar shade and shape as Witherspoon's shoes.

Gray fedora:
For a fashionable finish, try a gray fedora with a wide ribbon, like Ann Taylor's feathered fedora ($48). Don't forget a red tote bag!
