For as wide and varied as New Year's resolutions can be—from upping your beauty game and working out more to getting organized—they all have one thing in common: they can be pretty hard to maintain. Which is why we'll take any form of motivation we can get, and this year we're finding it in shoes.
Vince Camuto challenged four of our editors to select a pair of fashionable footwear that would help them step into 2015 on the right foot, then style an outfit around their chosen kicks. Read all about our resolutions—and how our shoe styles are giving us the kick we need to tackle them—on Vince Camuto's blog, The Crest, then shop our looks below.
Kristina Rodulfo, Associate Editor
These red gladiator heels were made to stand out, and they'll push Rodulfo to be more social. She paired the glam lace-ups with party-ready pieces in black and white so as to let the bold shoes be the main focus.
Katie Davidson, Associate Editor
The athleisure trend shows no signs of stopping, which should make it easy for Davidson to workout more often. She matched her printed slide-on sneakers with other relaxed pieces that will easily transition from the gym to the streets.
Bethany Cantor, Style Editor
Cantor won't have to pack too many pairs of shoes on the many trips she plans to take with these versatile, low-heeled booties. Although they can be dressed down with jeans or dressed up with a feminine dress, here she chose to wear them with edgy, travel-friendly garments that are comfortable yet stylish.
Cristina Velocci, Deputy Editor
They say you need to dress not for the job you have but the one you want, and that's exactly what Velocci aims to do in her quest to score her next promotion. A pair of textured suede pumps should elevate her classic, professional style.
