If you're thinking the flirty ribboned look is a thing of the past, you might want to reconsider. Tying a ribbon around your 'do is a simple way of dressing up any hairstyle instantly.
But we're not the only ones who think so. We've spotted a ribbon around the locks of several famous faces, including
Alexa Chung, who sported a single black ribbon around her pony at London Fashion Week, and
Nina Dobrev, who went completely old school with a big bow around her half updo.

High fashion is also catching on to this easy hair upgrade. At the
Nina Ricci Spring 2014 show in Paris, models donned a wispy low ponytail with a single black ribbon.

In case you're ready to give this upgrade a go, there are a number of ways to decorate your 'do. If a simple ribbon is much too boring for you, a faux ribbon scrunchie like the floral one below from
Threadsense ($12) gives the same look—no knots required. If you want to get really classic with it, this oversized black bow from
Urban Outfitters ($16) is big enough to rival any school girl's.

Bandtz ($15) look just like the real thing.
