Like many a high-end designer, American icon Ralph Lauren
is looking to the Far East for inspiration these days, playing sweet for the world's fastest-growing market.
Lauren's Fall 2011 collection brought a pure Asian infusion to his classic signatures. Black, red and green were the prevailing colors, with the occasional Chinese print popping up in the form of a silky blouse. Models—including Chinese superstar Liu Wen
—wore jade necklaces and earrings as well distinctly art deco accessories, including a few '20s cloche caps and glitzy belts.
