As a television fashion commentator, Louise Roe
has access to the very latest in designer fashion. But when she doesn't have the glam squad putting her looks together for her, she turns to her tried-and-true wardrobe staples. Roe happily shared her most beloved wardrobe staples with StyleBistro—most of which can be nabbed on a budget.
First on the list: "A great fitting pair of jeans." Roe gushes of Paige Denim, "They're stretchy and fit like a glove." Roe also recommends ballet flats ("I love London Sole—they just go with everything") and a cashmere sweater or cardigan ("A lot of people think luxury is out of their price range, but actually the Gap does cashmere really cheaply").
Roe's quick fix for a fat day? A great scarf: "Having a big thin cotton scarf with a great bright print on it is just a way to make your outfit pop. H&M does great ones, I've got one from Zara recently."
Roe loves the layered look, which is probably why she recommends investing in a trench coat, a leather biker jacket or a blazer. "It depends on what kind of woman you are. If you're a bit more of the sophisticated business type then a trench or a blazer is perfect. I quite like having a biker jacket for weekends and going out at night if it's a bit chilly."
