These inspiring sisters shared with us their Ultimate Summer Workout, a combination of HIIT treadmill work and total body circuit training, to help get you into shape this season and all year round.
Here's how it works: Begin with the 26 minute HIIT Treadmill workout, rest for 3 minutes, and then follow with the 16 min total body circuit. Instructions below.
HIIT Treadmill
First, find your jog pace — a comfortable pace that you can sustain for long periods of time. Here's some help to get you started:
- 4.0-4.5 MPH: New Runner
- 5.0-5.5 MPH: Casual Runner
- 6.0-6.5 MPH: Intermediate Runner
- 7.0-7.5 MPH: Advanced Runner
Now that you've determine your jog pace, fill in the 'your speed' column using your personal jog pace and apply any speed increases to this pace (e.g. 5.0 MPH jog pace + 0.5 = 5.5 MPH).
'Walk' should be between 3.0-4.0 MPH
Circuit
Perform each of these exercises for 50 seconds followed by 10 seconds rest. Complete 4 rounds for a total of 16 minutes.
