Sam Edelman shoes (Piperlime)
We were having a tough time shaking ourselves from our long-weekend stupor this morning until this news rolled across our desks—Target
just announced it's teaming up with cult-fave shoe brand Sam Edelman
Starting May 2013, the fast-fashion chain will exclusively offer styles from Sam Edelman's super-affordable designer line, Sam & Libby.
The Sam & Libby for Target collection will include 20 styles—from sandals to flats to patterned wedges and pumps—for as little as $24.99 a pair.
But wait, if you remember, Sam & Libby used to be a huge exclusive thing for JCPenney
. Now only three (albeit sad) styles
remain on the site. So it begs the question, uh, what happened? Did Penneys ditch the brand? Was it not doing well? Hm...
From the sounds of Target's announcement
, the re-launched brand is getting a major face lift and "will feature elevated design details and celebrate contemporary fashion." No photos have surfaced of the new line just yet, so we'll have to wait and see!
Are you a huge fan of Sam Edelman's shoes? We totally are! What about Sam & Libby? And when it comes to Penneys vs. Target—which is your go-to? Sound off in the comments, below!
