Today NikeLab and Japanese label Sacai launched a capsule collection of sportswear. Sacai designer Chitose Abe—formerly of Comme des Garçons—drew inspiration from Nike's archives and reinvented iconic gear with unexpected design elements.

Among the eight pieces are a classic crew neck sweatshirt ($250) featuring a pleated detail at the back, a T-shirt trimmed with lace ($150), a sport skirt with a dropped hemline and mesh panels ($250) and a zip-up hoodie with a peplum detail in the back ($300). Even the classic  Nike Air Max 90 trainers got revamped as slip-ons with a wedge ($175).

If not for the design alone, NikeLab x Sacai's collaboration will stand out anywhere thanks to its vibrant color palette. Hot pink, red and cobalt blue beg to be seen. While they're not exactly the pieces you'd wear to lift weights or go for a run (though if you choose to do so, more power to you), we definitely can expect to see them on street style stars when the next fashion week rolls around.
