Collab Alert: Rodarte Partners With Starbucks


Attention all caffeine-addicted fashionistas: Rodarte and Starbucks are coming together in a collaboration that might just be one of the most unexpected this year.

The Mulleavy sisters—who usually stick to collaborations with brands like Opening Ceremony, Target, and, uh, Black Swan—are designing a limited-edition collection of gift cards, mugs, tote bags, and sleeves for Starbucks come the holiday season. It will hit stores November 13th—just in time for your Peppermint Mochas. 

The signature pattern in the collection is a pixelated green and gray checkerboard (not the usual free-flowing abstract prints and shapes we find on the runway, eh?). 

"Our clothing is specialized,” Laura Mulleavy told the Washington Post. “And when we are thinking of Rodarte, we choose things that say who we are as designers, but we’re not limited to that. We like the idea of collaborations and putting our thought process somewhere else.”

This is the coffee chain's first swing at a fashion collab.

So now you can have your Rodarte, and a caffeine kick, too!
