Another day, another Karl Lagerfeld collaboration. This time, the Chanel Creative Director has teamed up with Brazilian plastic shoe company Melissa on a line of squidgy footwear—four styles set to arrive in stores in fall 2013.

"Karl's design talent, synonymous with couture, has been translated into footwear, bridging the gap between high-end and commercial, extending our customer base and making his name accessible for all," said Melissa CEO Paulo Pedo.

This isn't the first designer collaboration for the plastic-is-fantastic shoe company. Melissa has previously worked with Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu, Julie Verhoeven, Pedro Lourenco, Angry Birds, and The Muppets. Okay, those last two aren't luxury designers, but they're awesome.
