WSJ., The Wall Street Journal's glossy magazine, with an in-depth profile that explores the
Vogue editor-in-chief's influence in the fashion industry and beyond.
The piece features interviews with quite a few loyal members of Anna's inner circle, including the designers whose careers she has helped to launch. Among them is designer
Marc Jacobs, who became Louis Vuitton's creative director at Anna's suggestion.
Jacobs was frank about the power of Anna's influence. He told the magazine, "If I get a request for something, there aren't two possible answers. First I get an email, then a phone call from someone at Vogue, and now I don't even bother to say no—I know the next call is from her."
It seems that Jacobs' approach is really for the best, as he seems to have benefitted from every call Anna has made thus far.
