It's no secret that when it comes to social networks, Courtney Love
lacks restraint. She has posted long-winded rants about all manner of things, including her tumultuous relationship with daughter Frances Bean and pictures of herself in various states of dishevelment and undress. Now that apparent inability to self-censor has cost Love a cool $430,000.Dawn Simorangkir
, a fashion designer and the proprietor of Boudoir Queen, sued Love for libel, invasion of privacy, emotional distress, intentional interference with her business and breach of contract after Love unleashed a series of foul-mouthed rants on more than one social networking site. Love, ever creative, accused Simorangkir of being a "nasty lying hosebag thief," among other things.
Simorangkir's lawyer told The Hollywood Reporter
that the pair had settled out of court for $430,000. Love's attorney, James Janowitz, tried to downplay the figure, which will be paid over the course of the next three years: "They got out with an amount that left them bragging rights but nothing else."Browse Courtney Love's latest looks:
