Kim Kardashian and a fresh new look is her symbolic start to the season. She recently posted a picture of herself with newly-tinted tresses on her
website along with the message, "I dyed my hair yesterday! I'm loving it! New color=new beginnings for me. Like it?"
Kim also shared some photos of the new shade on
Twitter, tweeting, "New hair! Lighter and loving it!" Brightening up her locks was a risk but her fans' response to the natural-looking 'do has been resoundingly positive. Her colorist, Rebecca Friedman, told
Us Weekly the new hue incorporates "sun-kissed streaks that are close to her childhood color."
Friedman went on to explain that Kim's cool dark brown base stayed the same and highlights were simply added to brighten the whole look. Kim loves her new color so much that her stylist suggested she might eventually go even lighter.
