If upping your workout game is on your list of 2015 goals, here's one to add to the list: facial exercises. Facial toning is the latest trend to hit the beauty world to help stop the signs of aging. From gear that helps define and contour skin that's lost its elasticity to actual classes to keep your face fit, looks like our workout list just got a bit longer.
The idea is simple enough: your face has muscles and like all muscles, they must be exercised to keep their shape and volume. Take a peek at some of the facial workouts we spotted and be sure to let us know if this is a trend you're ready to try.
GADGETS
StriVectinLABS' Facial Toner ($159)
This system is a hands-free device that delivers electrotherapy to stimulate facial muscles. To use, simply place the gel pads on each side of your face to target facial nerves responsible for the face's muscles.
NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device ($199)
This is a similar device that uses microcurrent technology, a low-level current that mimics the body’s natural one, to stimulate the face—sending waves through the skin, tissues and down to the facial muscles to contour and tone the face.
CLASSES
If you live in New York, you can always take a facial exercise class. (Yes, this exists.) The Skin Gym Face Fitness pop-up shop is the place to go for skin-firming massages, face muscle resistance training, facial reflexology—oh, and makeup touch-ups.
But if you're not in New York, don't worry. There are plenty of at-home facial exercises you can try from the comfort of your own room. No need to buy another gym membership after all.
So tell us, would you give face exercises a go?
