If there's one beauty trend we spotted backstage during our time at New York Fashion Week Fall 2015, it was an emphasis on eyes. That's right, now's the time to amp up that mascara, pull out the bold eyeshadow and really go for that smoky eye you've always wanted to try. One of the most noticeable "eye" trends we spotted was bold gold. We saw the metallic hue in the form of glitter, silky color and a honey hue. See how to wear the trend according to the runways, below.
MAC artist Pep Gay applied MAC Pro Gold Glitter ($21) to serve as a sparkling liner on models' lids, which gave them a glimmer under the catwalk lights.
Maybelline key artist Lottie added Eye Studio Color Tattoo cream gel shadow ($6) in Bold Gold and Bad to the Bronze to models' lids to finish the feminine Luke Skywalker look on the runway.
Although this version of gold is more of a rich honey hue, MAC makeup artist Polly Osmond added a dash of MAC Eye Shadow in Gold Chrome ($16) to the inner corners to bring out a tropical vibe.
