What You Need To Know About The Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360

Is the Emeril air fryer actually worth it? Let's see.

Kitchen Aid standing mixers, move over. Air fryers are having their moment and it seems as if they’re here to stay. If you don’t know what an air fryer is, it’s basically the kitchen appliance to replace all other kitchen appliances. You can do some much with these things from baking to broiling to frying to roasting and everything in between. The fact is, these little appliances are taking kitchens by storm.

You may be wondering why air fryers are so special, and people who use them will say that they are the best. Well, it lets you fry your favorite foods without any added fats or oils. It means you get the same crispy taste without all that lingering grease that you can’t get off your hands or out of your clothes. It’s a healthier option when you’re in the mood for something fried and crispy.

Without all that extra oil it also means that it’s easier to clean up after cooking. No need to scrub or soak, just wipe down air fryer surfaces and you’re ready for your next meal. One air fryer we’re hearing about is the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360. And there’s no question as to why it’s one of the popular air fryers on the market.

Everything You Need to Know About Emeril’s Air Fryer

The Power Air Fryer can do not one, not two, not even six, but 12 things. It comes with 12 pre-set cooking buttons that allow you to air fry, reheat, toast, roast, broil, make bagels, bake, cook with a rotisserie, dehydrate, make pizza, slow cook, and warm food. It comes in two sizes, the standard size which can hold a 10-pound chicken or the family size which can hold a 14-pound turkey.

It comes with some pretty great accessories like a crisper tray, pizza rack, rotating rotisserie spick, baking pan, drip tray, and a recipe book filled with Emeril’s own recipes. You’ll be equipped to cook up a really nice variety of things from your favorite fried foods to fresh bagels and everything in between.

All air fryers are different and this one features a door that pulls down making it easy to clean and check your food. It has five heating elements which allow your food to cook 40% faster and more evenly than a regular oven.

So, What Are People Saying?

One Amazon user said, “Heats to 400F as promised. Working well. After a month of use I am very impressed. It's as good as it gets. I would highly recommend it. But give it a few weeks to get used to it. Worth every penny...Update after using for over a year. Still love it no complaint.” Another noted that they love that there is no mess when cooking anymore and their kitchen no longer smells like oil.

The people who love it seem to really love it, “Although it took me a little while to adjust my recipe cooking times, I have to say everything has come out perfect. I've used everything but the slow cooking feature and broiler since I have a smokeless power grill and like to use it. Baking has been perfect. Less time than a regular oven. Reheating is good too. (I got rid of my microwave.) I can't believe how easy the oven is to clean!!! Even with the rotisserie there is no splatter. The air fried chicken is wonderful. I recommend it but would remind people to watch the temperature and times when first using it. There is a learning curve to that. The controls are easier than any countertop oven I've ever had.”

But, with the good comes the bad. And there seems to be a general consensus that while this appliance is great, it’s not really an air fryer. One Amazon reviewer said, “This is not good for air frying. Takes twice as long as my smaller air fryer for the same amount of food. I could’ve got an off brand at Walmart for $80 instead of the over $200 I spent on this one, but my boyfriend insisted on this because he loves Emeril. And he’s the only reason I won’t return it. It’s an over priced toaster oven. The outside gets so hot that it melted a sippy cup sitting over a foot away on the counter. It won’t be used during the summer at all because of that. The rotisserie will not hold a 4 pound chicken, and when it spins the chicken goes smoothly for a half turn then falls the other half. It is super easy to clean. Is good for toasting and baking if you don’t mind the outside being as hot as the inside. Wouldn’t recommend, waste of money.”
